Workstation
 

A workstation is a personal computer connected to a network. The workstation share and store files or data with other workstations connected to the same network. Files and data are stored in one or more servers in the same network.

Workstation can be connected to a network either through a network cable or wireless device. A network hub or switch is used to connect workstation to a local area network. Access point or router is used to connect workstation wirelessly to a local area network or wide area network.

To access files or data stored in network server, you need to login to the server with an user identification number and password. User identification number and password are created and maintained in server computer by your network or system administrator.
