ByteTee Duty Free Store Management system (DFSMS) is specially designed and developed for duty free chain store business. Duty free chain store business needs to manage  wide ranges of merchandise ranging from cosmetics, liquor, cigarette, fashion, leather goods, chocolates and souvenirs. All merchandises are purchased by central office and goods are receieved by central warehouse. Central warehouse is responsible to distribute goods to all duty free shops.

ByteTree DFSMS was first implemented for two duty free shops at Terminal 1 of Singapore Changi International Airport in 2004. Now the system is managing more than ten thousands merchandises for duty free shops located at Terminal 2,3 and budget airline terminals. This system interfaces well with CAAS (Civil  Aviation Authority of Singapore) POS machines. The system helps business manager analyse the sales results by shop location and passenger nationality.

The inventory management system module helps the company to purchase merchandises at central warehouse and transfer stock to all shops. The system is capable to manage various types of merchandises. For example, some merchandises are required to update its stock level by colour or sizes, some merchandises are required to track its expiry date, some merchandises are required to track by production batches.

Selling wide ranges of merchandise at these high cost duty free shops is a challenge in this business. Without a comprehensive and multi-dimension view reports, it is impossible to maintain a profitable product mix.
